For map editor on steam, "sub-license" is easy to be done. Steam accounts have the map editor, or buy the map editor. No need to make full version. And about "sub-license" I know it's a little bit problematic with per copy softwares, but what's the problem?
The map editor works on every platform, even on windows, so it's not a problem. I hope it's not a problem, because most of maps, there are 90% or more on windows platform. I'm not afraid of a problem, because it's possible to make a sub-license on the internet.
2 If you don't want a sub-license. You can buy a full version and use the map editor, but keep in mind that you can make a bigger map with the map editor, than you have the full version for, but need to buy it 2 times.
